Duke and Dolly were rescued a sometime ago abandoned in the country and no one looked for them. These beautiful Cocker Spaniels were not in good shape. Both had eye infections that have cleared up and were dirty and matted. They both dry eye, so will need eye meds for the rest of their life, though it is not expensive. They appear not to have had much attention and have not learned how to play. They are just now learning how to be dogs and to be loved. They love, love people. They get along well with other dogs and are good with the staff and volunteers. Duke is 4 to 5 years old and weighs 30 LBS although he doesn’t look that big. He is a solid boy. Duke and Dolly follow everyone at the sanctuary around and are very sweet and affectionate. They love to be petted, enjoy attention, and like their baby carrots. Both of them use potty pads inside and will go out to potty. Duke is current on his vaccinations and has been neutered and micro-chipped. They would be great companions as a pair since they have always been together although we will separate them as they both love their own attention.
