Introducing Blackie! This sweet old senior lost his human Dad and has to be
rehomed. He is probably around 14-15 years old but we are not sure of his age. He
has had a recent teeth cleaning, blood work and exam. Blackie is in the first stages
of renal failure (the most common cause of death in cats). We do consider Blackie
a special needs so he will need a loving home that is willing to give him the nurturing
he so deserves in his late life. (He does need to be on a special/prescription diet).
He is in good health otherwise, but does show his age, as he does appear a little
scruffy and is thin – all common for an older kitty. He may be shy at first, but is a
wonderful and loving old guy. He will tolerate other mellow kitties, but can get a
little grumpy with them. (LOL – we think he deserves this!)
Blackie just needs a loving family in which to live his life.
Blackie was born approximately January, 2007. He is up to date with
routine shots, house-trained, altered, FELV/HTW/FIV negative and is an
inside-only cat. You can also sponsor Blackie to help with his care and
