Opie is a young sweetheart who was found greeting neighborhood children with kisses and nonstop tail wags — that’s just who he is. From the very beginning, all he’s wanted is someone to love and stay close to. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow with the happiest heart, Opie is your boy.

He absolutely lights up when you tell him he’s a “good boy” (and trust us, he hears it often). He’s incredibly smart and eager to please — he figured out the doggy door within hours and already knows how to sit. His foster family has been working on his manners, and he’s proving to be a quick and willing learner every single day.

Opie sleeps quietly in his crate at night, rides beautifully in the car, and walks like a dream on leash — no pulling, just happily trotting right by your side. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, adores children, and rarely barks. He’ll only let out a little alert if something unusual pops up in the yard — otherwise, he’s all about the cuddles and companionship.

He would thrive as a beloved family dog or as the adventure buddy for an active couple or individual. Walks, road trips, backyard playtime — as long as he’s with you, he’s happy.

Opie does not shed and is scheduled to be neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He’s been treated for fleas and is getting ready for his fresh start.
