Hospice dog no adoption fee though you must qualify. Sandy was adopted from us when he was a puppy. He is now almost 12 years old is a Poodle mix and was found in his home with a couple of other dogs and a deceased owner. We don’t know what happened to the other dogs. At the SPCA he did beautifully on outings and is good with other dogs though he cried endlessly while be in a dog run by himself at the shelter which was most of the time. This kept him from being adopted during the one and a ½ months at the Sacramento SPCA. They contacted us and we took him back, he was micro-chipped to us and it is our policy to always take our dogs back. His blood work came back as healthy, he does have a heart murmur and a small growth on his eye which we will have looked at it seems to be a cherry eye which is easy to remove. Sandy is housetrained and is used to having someone with him as well as other dogs. This little guy is doing very well since we took him as we are a free roaming (not caged) during the day and people are always there. Open your heart and home to this sweet boy.
